Free Literature at VegFest Oahu Thanks to These Vegan Organizations

At VegFest Oahu we wanted to offer our attendees resources they could take home that would continue to deliver the vegan message and promote change even after they leave the festival.  We set up a “Free Literature” tent at our first event and were amazed that every single piece of paper was gone by the end of the day.  Attendees loved receiving plant-based literature and we are doing it again this year.  We want to thank the vegan organizations that are making it possible by donating and shipping huge boxes of printed vegan literature to us in Hawaii.

VegFest Oahu is deeply grateful for the hundreds of brochures, resource cards, fliers, magazines, coloring books, stickers, car magnets, posters and other printed literature the following organizations provided for us to distribute to our volunteers and attendees.

Mercy for Animals – From factory farms to corporate boardrooms, courts of justice to courts of public opinion, MFA speaks up against cruelty and for compassion. Thanks for the magazines to give away to event attendees.

PETA – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the largest animal rights organization in the world, works through public education, cruelty investigations, animal rescue, legislation, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns. Thanks for the raffle prizes for our attendees.
Vegan Outreach logo
Vegan Outreach seeks a future when sentient animals are no longer exploited as commodities, and has produced and shipped over 30 million pro-veg booklets—a huge milestone on the path to ending violence towards animals!
The Vegan Society logo
The Vegan Society works towards making veganism an easily adopted and widely recognized approach to reducing animal and human suffering. We want a just world where resources are utilized in a sustainable way to ensure all current and future generations are provided for.

On August 26, Melbourne’s inaugural March to End Speciesism was held. Approx 300 people marched through the streets of Melbourne into the Central Business District where marchers took over the Mall, holding posters and signs to show the public the truth about speciesism. The 4 guest speakers for the day were Liz Dealey ( Melbourne Chicken Save ), Belinda Morris (Animal Activists Victoria), Pam Ahern (Edgar s Mission) and Dr. Ash Nayate (Vegan Psychologist).
