Dr. Sailesh Rao has over three decades of professional experience and is the Founder and Executive Director of Climate Healers, a non-profit dedicated towards healing the Earth’s climate. A systems specialist with a Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, Dr. Rao worked on the Internet communications infrastructure for twenty years after graduation. During this period, he was responsible for transforming early analog internet connections to more robust digital connections that also ran ten times faster, at 1Gb/s. In 2006, he switched careers and became deeply immersed, full time, in solving the environmental crises affecting humanity. Dr. Rao is the author of two books, Carbon Dharma: The Occupation of Butterflies and Carbon Yoga: The Vegan Metamorphosis, and an Executive Producer of four documentaries, The Human Experiment (2013), Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret (2014), What The Health (2017), and A Prayer for Compassion (2019).

She has a Masters of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine and postgraduate studies in Nutritional Science, and serves as Down to Earth‘s Wellness Department Manager and Nutritionist on Staff. Carmela lectures frequently for the company’s community outreach and has been interviewed on local news and radio as well as national health magazines for her nutritional and natural products expertise. In 2003 Carmela was invited to be part of Celebrity Cruise Lines’ Enrichment Program, lecturing about nutrition and holistic health to enthusiastic audiences while developing and co-founding “Acupuncture at Sea.” In years of private practice, she has treated and consulted thousands of patients throughout the U.S. and around the world. Carmela has always been passionate about making the point that a healthy diet and lifestyle can be utterly delicious and enjoyable.

Co-Founder, Beach Environmental Awareness Campaign Hawaii (B.E.A.C.H.)
Suzanne Frazer is the Co-Founder and President of Beach Environmental Awareness Campaign Hawaii (B.E.A.C.H.), an award winning nonprofit founded in 2006. B.E.A.C.H. brings awareness and solutions to plastic marine debris through: environmental education in schools and the community; marine debris removal and research; and plastic reduction/litter prevention campaigns. The purpose of B.E.A.C.H. is to inspire actions on an individual and community level that reduce and prevent marine debris, resulting in protection for Hawaii’s marine life, sea birds and ocean environment. Suzanne received the 2008 Living Reef Award for going above and beyond to protect the reef and the 2012 Astrid and Donald Monson Community Action Award for outstanding community service. Suzanne is an educator with over 30 years experience and has been invited to speak at schools and community organizations throughout Hawaii. She was featured in the films “Plastic Tide” and “Bag It” and has appeared on 60 minutes Australia, BBC radio and various other TV news documentaries. Suzanne succeeded in initiating and passing bills to ban smoking at all Hawaii State Parks and all Honolulu County Parks and ban thick plastic bags in Honolulu County. Suzanne has been vegetarian since childhood and became vegan 11 years ago.
