At VegFest Oahu we wanted to offer our attendees resources they could take home that would continue to deliver the vegan message and promote change even after they leave the festival. We set up a “Free Literature” tent at our first event and were amazed that every single piece of paper was gone by the end of the day. Attendees loved receiving plant-based literature and we are doing it again this year. We want to thank the vegan organizations that are making it possible by donating and shipping huge boxes of printed vegan literature to us in Hawaii.
VegFest Oahu is deeply grateful for the hundreds of brochures, resource cards, fliers, magazines, coloring books, stickers, car magnets, posters and other printed literature the following organizations provided for us to distribute to our volunteers and attendees.
Please visit their websites to learn more about their important advocacy projects and other resources — your donations help them keep doing good work.

On August 26, Melbourne’s inaugural March to End Speciesism was held. Approx 300 people marched through the streets of Melbourne into the Central Business District where marchers took over the Mall, holding posters and signs to show the public the truth about speciesism. The 4 guest speakers for the day were Liz Dealey ( Melbourne Chicken Save ), Belinda Morris (Animal Activists Victoria), Pam Ahern (Edgar s Mission) and Dr. Ash Nayate (Vegan Psychologist).
